SEND at William Lovell Academy

"Respect, Truth, Justice, Generosity & Forgiveness "

By these standards we strive to provide a caring, inspiring and supportive community in which all students are encouraged to excel in their education.

Welcome to our Special Educational Needs & Disabilities SEN Information Report (Local Offer). We hope you will enjoy reading about the variety of ways in which William Lovell Church of England Academy is able to support SEND students to reach their full potential.

Our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator is Mrs Lynn Crowe.

Our Governor with responsibility for SEND is Revd Fran Jeffries.

Inclusion Manager is Mrs Kim Dunn.

We are committed to meeting the needs of all students. There is a shared expectation that all students, regardless of their specific needs, should be offered inclusive and personalised teaching to enable them to make the best possible progress and to feel that they are a valued member of the school community.

The range of support deployed will be tailored to individual need following thorough assessment by staff or external agencies. It is designed to promote students working towards becoming independent and resilient learners and should not be seen in isolation.
